AGRIbot autonomous tractor moving autonomously within the vineyard

Back from EIMA International 2024

What an Experience at EIMA International 2024!

For the first time, we decided to showcase our technology for autonomous operations at an international exhibition, choosing EIMA 2024, the International Agricultural and Gardening Machinery Exhibition.

And from November 6th to 10th, EIMA recorded its highest attendance ever. The Innovation Factory welcomed over 346,000 attendees, including 63,000 international visitors from 150 countries, highlighting the sustained high interest in agricultural mechanization.

Thousands of people visited the aitronik booth. Many came to share needs and discuss the benefits of introducing agricultural robots into their farms. Others were captivated by our two live applications:

  • AGRIbot, a scaled-down tractor that autonomously navigates within vineyard rows
  • Lynceus, a demonstrator for customizable people and object classification to make intelligent machines safer

We created both demos for the exhibition to showcase how robotic machines can assist humans in agriculture.

aitronik was invited to the Digital Terrace to discuss the challenges of developing software for agricultural robotics. Carmelo di Franco, Head of Embedded Systems Design at aitronik, explored key challenges, from understanding requirements and writing high-quality code to managing the entire software lifecycle. Carmelo joined three other experts in Robotics and AI: Marko Bertogna, Matteo Matteucci, and Raffaele Giaffreda. Together, they provided a comprehensive overview of how robotics can revolutionize the agricultural industry.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, whether you were drawn by our interactive technologies for autonomous robots or wanted to discuss robotics in agriculture. Your shared wishes, doubts, and needs have been invaluable in helping us connect more closely with the real market, engage and support machine manufacturers in integrating new technologies, and positively impact agriculture through vehicle robotization.

And last but not least, we express our gratitude to FederUnacoma for organizing such an impressive event.
